Mr. Earlie Edward "Pete" Marshall

Mr. Earlie Edward "Pete" Marshall, age 74 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Patrick County on September 2, 1939 to the late Earlie and Viola Dalton Marshall. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie Borneman; a granddaughter, Emily Borneman; a sister, Nancy Harris; and two brothers, Bud and Mack Marshall.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife of 52 years, Madeline Pack Marshall of the home; one daughter, Penny Keith of Meadows of Dan; two sons, R. L. Marshall and Gary Pack of Meadows of Dan; five grandchildren, Brigitte Creech, Amanda Borneman, Lee Marshall, Josh Keith and Jessi Keith; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Marshall of Stuart; four sisters, Virginia Howell of Meadows of Dan, Dorothy Agee of Laurel Fork, Sue Webb of Meadows of Dan and Annie Boyd of Meadows of Dan; several nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Roger Pack of Mayodan, North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Marshall will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Doug Goad and Pastor Michael Leath officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery in Vesta. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
