Mr. Early Richard Berrier

Mr. Early Richard Berrier, age 85 of Cana, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Berrier was born in Carroll County on February 23, 1926 to William and Eva Largen Berrier. He proudly served our country and retired from the United States Navy. Mr. Berrier will be dearly missed by so many. Loved ones he leaves behind include his devoted wife, Rebecca Ann "Polly" Moore Berrier of the home; daughters and a son-in-law, Donna and Pompilio Perez; Bonnie Snow all of Cana and Suzanne Foster of Clearwater, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Lori Berrier of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Elijah, Rosa, Lucia, Gloria, Christopher, Jonathan and Abby; a brother, Amos Berrier of Laurel Meadows and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Berrier was preceded in death by eighteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2012 Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Lacy Gates. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by Grover King VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
