Mr. Eddie Gene Handy, Jr

Mr. Eddie Gene Handy, Jr., 42 of Bassett passed away Friday evening at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born January 25, 1969 in Danville to Barbara Lawson Handy and the late Eddie Gene Handy, Sr. He was self employed in the lawn care business and a member of Community Fellowship Church in Collinsville.
Other than his mother, Mr. Handy is survived by his wife; Stacey Murphy Handy of Bassett, two daughters; Autumn and Bethany Handy of the home, a son; Coty Handy also of the home and a brother and sister-in-law; Christopher Neal and Aynn Handy.
Funeral services for Mr. Handy will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Handyâ€"Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service and other times at the home.
