Mr. Edgar T. Bowman

Mr. Edgar Theodore Bowman, age 71 of Meadows of Dan passed away Saturday morning at his home. He was born on March 2, 1937 in Patrick County to the late Yancie Bowman and Rosa Janie Goins Bowman. He was a retired mechanic.
Surviving are his wife Helen Christine Bowman of the home; two sisters, Vera Montgomery of Hillsville, Phyllis Crawford of Burlington, NC; and a special sister in law and caregiver, Joan Holt.
There will be a graveside service held Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Unity Church Cemetery in Ararat with Pastor Arlis H. Thomas and Marie Turman officiating. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 410 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
