Mr. Edgar Leonard Lovell

Mr. Edgar Leonard Lovell, age 81 of Woolwine, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on March 18, 1928 to the late Flem Henry and Lutary Boyd Lovell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lovell was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Garfield, Fred and Henry Lovell; and two sisters, Lakie Boyd and Mina Rakes. He was a member of Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. He had retired from Liberty Fabrics.
Mr. Lovell is survived by his wife of 61 years. Nelda Craig Lovell of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Debbie Lovell of Patrick Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Carl Hubbard of Meadows of Dan; two grandchildren, Tina Gammons and Jamie Lawless; four great-grandchildren, Madeline and Chandler Gammons and Cheyenne and Justin Lawless; and one sister, Edna Fain of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. Lovell will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church with Brothers Edward Bowman and Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
