Mr. Edward "Pete" Bowman

Mr. Edward “Pete” Bowman, age 75 of Claudville, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on May 28, 1940 to the late Zack and Vada Pack Bowman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by six brothers, R.L., Robie, Woody, Claude, Akers and Lloyd Bowman; and three sisters, Helen DeHart, Lou Massey and Bessie Sutphin. He loved to fish and play cards.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his wife, Lena Mae Inman Bowman of the home; three daughters, Amy Parrish of Stuart, Cletus Rogers and husband, O.M. of Dry Pond, Glenda Beasley and husband Bill of Dry Pond; three sons, Steve Bowman and wife, Patty of Stuart, Jerry Bowman of Claudville, Donnie Bowman and wife, Loretta of Bassett; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Heath and Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Cassady Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Amy Parrish, 485 Hill Valley Road, Stuart.
