Mr. Edward Akers "Wood Rabbit" Glenn

Mr. Edward Akers "Wood Rabbit" Glenn, age 74 of Martinsville passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on July 28, 1938 to the late Isaac and Della Hylton Glenn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia Barnwell, Fannie Glenn and Julie Glenn; and three brothers, Otis, Ezra and John Cutler Glenn. He had a wonderful heart and was a caring son, brother, uncle and friend and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Glenn is survived by two sisters, Cora Glenn and Louise Tatum, both of Stuart; one brother, Sammy Glenn of Petersburg; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Lawrence Henry of Ridgeway.
A graveside service for Mr. Glenn will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Tatum Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leander Reynolds officiating.
