Mr. Edward Fox Lawrence, Jr

Mr. Edward Fox Lawrence, Jr., age 72, of White Plains, passed away on Friday October 21, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem. Mr. Lawrence was born in Surry County on May 19, 1944 the son of the late Edward Fox and Edith Smith Lawrence. He graduated from Mount Airy High School, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Lawrence was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the White Plains Friends Meeting. Surviving are two brothers, William Brent Lawrence of Mount Airy and Robert Keith Lawrence of Siler City; one nephew, Robert Brice Lawrence of Siler City. A graveside service will be held Sunday October 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the White Plains Friends Cemetery with Rev. Jake Penley officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the White Plains Friends Meeting, 849 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Lawrence family.
