Mr. Elijah Haywood Edwards

Mr. Elijah Haywood Edwards age 57 of Ararat, VA passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his home. He was born February 9, 1953 in Carroll County, VA to the late Izer an Elva Spencer Edwards. He was a handyman and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Fern Edwards, Cana, VA and Rachel Autumn Edwards, Lambsburg, VA and a son Joshua Brandon Edwards, Cana, VA, two grandchildren, Brooklyn Jade Bryant and Haley Marie Willis, a sister, Pearlie Hutchens, Ararat, VA and four brothers, Matt Edwards and Elder Arwood Edwards both of Mt. Airy, Troy Edwards, Spencer, VA and Jessie Edwards, Lowgap, NC. In addition ot his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hawks and a brother, Elwood Edwards. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Stantliff Cemetery conducted by Elder Arwood Edwards and Elder V.J. Hawks. There will no formal visitation at the funeral home.
