Mr. Elzie Lee Vance

Mr. Elzie Lee Vance, age 65, of Stuart passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home. He was born in Jager, WV on Nov. 23, 1951 to the late Everett Payne and Hazel Vance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Payne. He had been a coal miner and got along with everyone. He attended Jesus Saves Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Webster Lawson Vance of the home; his children, Sherry Louise Vance of Raysal, WV, Everett Vance of Paynesville, WV, Catherine Vance of King, NC, Heather Newberry of Sanville, Michael David Lawson of Stuart; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters, Patty Ratliff of Paynesville, WV, Geraldine Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sheila Cline of Bassett; one brother, Herman Payne of Bassett; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating. Burial will be private.
