Mr. Erle R. Dieffenbach

Mr. Erle Randolph Dieffenbach, age 86 of Stuart passed away Saturday at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born on Aug. 31, 1924 in Pennsylvania to the late Clarence Raymond Dieffenbach and Loueva Erle Dieffenbach. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Pumpo. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII; was a graduate of Texas A and I, was a personnel manager with Oshkosh Trucking Corp., and attended Sycamore Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Wagner Dieffenbach of the home; one daughter, Rebecca Steed of Bemus Point, NY; three sons, Craig Dieffenbach of Jamestown, NY, Mark Dieffenbach of Syracuse, NY, Timothy Dieffenbach of Holland, NY; one step son, Robert Voit of Matthews, NC; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
All services will be held at a later date in Dushure, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Patrick County Chapter, P O Box 1301, Stuart, VA 24171.
