Mr. Foy Edward Boyd

Mr. Foy Edward Boyd, age 91 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on March 15, 1922 to the late Harry P. and Irene Manilla Boyd. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by three sisters, Stella Marshall, Syble Underwood and Paulette Boyd; and one brother, Clarence Eldon Boyd. He was a member of Mayberry Presbyterian Church, and had owned and operated a mobile home park.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katherine Marshall Boyd of the home; one sister, Myrtle Boyles of Roanoke, a special niece, Jean Pendleton and special nephew, Doug Joyce; and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Boyd will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Stewart Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Spangler Family Cemetery in Meadows of Dan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
