Mr. Frank Elmer Key

Mr. Frank Elmer Key, age 85, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born on February 4, 1933 to the late Elmer and Martha Nichols Key.  He was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are three daughters and a son-in-law; Patsy Eakes and husband Earl, Ginger Hornaday and fiancé Joey Bledsoe, and Gretel Key; grandchildren, Cynthia Pinkston, Noelle Hornaday and Parker Hornaday, Zach Long, Celeste Long and Victoria Long; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Pleasants and husband Gene.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Key was preceded in death by his wife Cassie Gwyn Key; sisters, Betty Putnam and Lottie Dix; brothers, Worth, Wade, June, Bruce Reece and Gene Key.  A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at White Plains Friend’s Meeting with services conducted by Rev. Jake Penley. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018 from 3:30- 5:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
