Mr. Franklin Lewis Bode

Mr. Franklin Lewis Bode, 77, of Mt. Airy Passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Guilford County on March 16, 1939 to the late John Francis Bode and Beryl Holyfield Bode Warren. Mr. Bode was a retired Insurance Agent, a well-known Old-Time musician, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. Mr. Bode is survived by his wife, Ginger Sykes Bode of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Hale and Daniel of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Lewis Bode and Tammy of Cana, VA; grandchildren, Emily Hale and husband Travis Pike, Sara Hale and partner John Strickland, Jr., Lora Bode and fiancé Eric Hill; brothers, John Bode and special friend Darlene of Mt. Airy, Tobie Warren of Philadelphia, PA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bode was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Bode. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with the Mr. Paul Bunke officiating.
