Mr. Fred Millard Hooker

Mr. Fred Millard Hooker, age 81 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on April 19, 1934 to the late James Merritt Hooker and Dorothy Puckett Hooker. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hooker was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Hooker, three sisters, Eula Mae Hooker Flinchum, Carlene Hooker Bullins and Rebecca Ann Hooker Flinchum; and three brothers, James Forister Hooker, Clifford Hooker and Gurney Hooker. He was a member of Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mr. Hooker is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian Bullins Hooker of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wade and Kelly Hooker of Critz and Ronnie Hooker of Lawsonville; six grandchildren, Jeremy Hooker, Melissa Hooker, Tyler Hooker, Taylor Scearce, Benjamin Hooker and Nicholas Hooker; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Allen Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
