Mr. Gary Lee Burnette

Gary Lee Burnette, age 45 of Stuart, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 19, 1962 to the late William Kenneth Burnette and Shirley R. Trent of Stuart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matt and Ella Burnett, John Roberson, Audrey Reynolds Roberson; step grandmother, Crystal Fain Roberson. He had served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Support Administrative Specialist.
In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by one daughter, Jessica Dawn Burnette of Hopewell; one granddaughter, Allyson Renee Cobb; two sisters, Diane Rorrer of Patrick Springs and Audrey William of Bassett; one brother, Len Trent of Ashland, Kentucky; and a special friend, Joan Turner of Stuart.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home of his mother, Shirley R. Trent, 774 Dobyns Road, Stuart.
