Mr. Gary Dean Crews

Mr. Gary Dean Crews, age 47 of Meadows of Dan passed away Thursday evening at NC Baptist Hospital. He was born in Reidsville, NC on Dec. 21, 1963 to the late Pete Crews and Lola Wray Crews Marshall. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his step father, Joseph Glen Marshall; and a brother, Samuel Haywood Crews. Dean was a member of the Ruritans and had previously served as a District Governor; he was a custodian for Meadows of Dan Elementary School and worked part time for Pioneer Community Hospital. He was also a member of Tory Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Gammon Crews of the home; one daughter, Deana Crews of Meadows of Dan; one son, Daniel Crews of the home; and two half brothers, Glen Wray Marshall of Stanleytown and Joseph Martin Marshall of Meadows of Dan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Tory Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Family Cemetery.
