Mr. Gary Wayne Gray

Mr. Gary Wayne Gray, age 73 of Westfield, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on November 26, 1943 to the late Lloyd Gray and Rachel Collins Gray Jefferson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Leslie Michelle Gray; his step-father, Thomas “Jack” Jefferson; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Mabe. He was a member of Collinstown Presbyterian Church, and had been a driver for Clark Gas and Oil for many years. He was an avid golfer and a life-long fan of the UNC Tarheels.
Mr. Gray is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Beth and Tony Boles of Lawsonville, North Carolina, Jessica Gray of Stuart; ten grandchildren, Amelia Boles, Allee Boles, Destiny Butski and husband, Doug, Ian Eckrote, Serinity Eckrote, Lawney Eckrote, III, Ethan Eckrote, Clariti Mitchell, Maisley Mitchell and Journee Pack; three great-grandchildren, Bently, Corbin and Marley Butski; two sisters, Annie Laura Mabe of Advance, North Carolina, Kaylene Shelton of Westfield, North Carolina; a brother, Timmy Jefferson and wife, Teresa “Tee” of Westfield, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; long time best friend, R. W. Goins of Westfield, North Carolina and special caregivers, Carolyn Rose and Destiny Butski.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Collinstown Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shaun Draughn and Pastor Ricky Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
