Mr. Gary Wayne Pruitt

Mr. Gary Wayne Pruitt, age 49 of Lawsonville, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on June 18, 1962. Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Pruitt; a son, Cordell Garlock; father-in-law, Frederick Garlock; and four uncles, Arthur, Bill, John and Junior Pack. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Westfield, North Carolina, a 1981 graduate of North Stokes High School, and had worked for Kobe Copper.
Mr. Pruitt is survived by his wife, Robin Garlock Pruitt of the home; a son, Dustin Garlock of the home; a daughter, Parthenia Garlock of the home; his mother, Lucille Pack Pruitt of Lawsonville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Glenda Pruitt, Dean and Angie Pruitt, all of Lawsonville, Randy and Rhonda Pruitt of Stuart; a sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Jeff Martin of Stuart; a sister-in-law, Audrey Butler of Stuart; mother-in-law, Tina Garlock of Wisconsin; father-in-law, Rick Butler of Pennsylvania; eight nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Pruitt will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Joe Beck, Pastor Shaun Draughn and Pastor Andy Pack officiating. Burial will follow in Aarons Corner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home, or at his mother's home.
