Mr. George Burton Pierson

George Burton Pierson, 89, passed into his eternal home, on September 2, 2016 at his home in Stuart, VA. He was born in Gassaway, WV on February 28, 1927 to John and Erma Johnson Pierson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Kelsie Bonnett Pierson; and a sister, Ruth Ellen Smith. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-­law, Paula and Robert Reynolds of Stuart, VA; two grandsons, Seth and Logan Reynolds of Stuart, VA; a sister, Rosa Lee Blake of Frametown, WV; and a brother and sister-­in-­law, William J. “Bill” and Betty Pierson of Vienna, WV; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Darlene Mills. He served in the Navy during the end of WWII. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church, Frametown, WV. A perfect day to Burton was to bike and hike the outdoors and enjoy God’s creation.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Baptist
Church, Frametown, WV, with Rev. Rich Demastus and Rev. Bobby Goldsburg officiating.
Burial will follow at the Middle Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
