Mr. George Albert Spence

Mr. George Albert Spence, age 88 of Stuart, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on April 14, 1922 to the late Preston and Jenny Holt Spence. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spence was preceded in death by a son Ronnie Spence,a granddaughter; Rhonda Spence, two brothers Bronzey and Curtis Spence, and two sisters, Ann Austin and Myrtle Rogers. He had cut timber for several people in Maryland and Patrick County.
Mr. Spence is survived by his wife, Elsie Dalton Spence of the home; three sons, Buddy Spence of Salisbury, MD, Ricky Spence of Claudville, VA, and Tommy Spence of Stuart; one daughter, Pamela Morse of Martinsville, VA; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; two sisters Opal Light, and Mildred Spence both of Stuart.
There will be a visitation for Mr. Spence on Wednesday November 10, 2010 from 6 until 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. All other services will be private. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com
