Mr. Glen E. Hughes

Mr. Glen E. Hughes, age 67 of Central Academy Rd., Stuart passed away Jan. 5, 2007 at NC Baptist Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1939 in Patrick County to the late Hampton and Nannie Mae Crissman Hughes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lena King Hughes; a son, Thomas Edward Hughes; and three brothers, Murray, Ted, and Harry Lee Hughes.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice H. Hughes of the home; a son and daughter in law, Keith Edward and Tamara Hughes of Stuart; two daughters and sons in law, Lorrie Ann and Mark Holt of Stuart, Mary Lynn and James Massey of Stuart; two step sons and a daughter in law, Tim and Judy Pack of Stuart, Dwayne Pack of Martinsville; one step daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Barry Noonkester of Ararat; seven grandchildren, Chad Hampton Bowman, Kevin Ray Bowman, Lorrie Brooke Hudgins, Tristan Nicole Holt, Taylor Dawn Vance, Sheri Ann Hughes, Selena Haley Hughes; five step grandchildren, Chris Noonkester, Jennifer Pack, Brittany Noonkester, AmyJoe Lyn Quesenberry, Charles Dajen Quesenberry; two great grandchildren, Cody Hampton Bowman, Karris Rae Bowman; and two step great grandchildren, Angel Gillispie, Evan Gillispie; two brothers, Howard Hughes of Charity, Dewey Hughes of Stuart; and one sister, Virginia Lancaster of Clearbrook.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Revs. Jim Churchwell and Curtis Hall officiating.
