Mr. Glenn Edward Nester

Mr. Glenn Edward Nester, age 78 of Woolwine, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Pioneer Community Hospital. He was born in Carroll County on November 23, 1933 to the late Orby G. and Mattie Jane Dalton Nester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nester was preceded in death by one son, Gary Nester and one sister, Lovelene Nester.
Mr. Nester is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ninner DeHart Nester of the home; one daughter, Linda McMillan and husband, Joe, of Bassett; one step-son, Robert D. Whitlow and wife, Hope, of Woolwine; one step-daughter, Cheri W. Davis and husband, Robert L. of Floyd; one grandson, Michael Derek McMillan; one step-granddaughter, Melissa Salyer and husband, Shannon; two step-great-grandchildren, Sharla and Blake Salyer; and two beloved dogs, Buffy and Brandy.
A funeral service for Mr. Nester will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Danny Gilley officiating. Burial will follow in the DeHart Cemetery in Woolwine.
