Mr. Glenn Edward Puckett

Mr. Glenn Edward Puckett, age 77 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on February 20, 1940, and was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Glenn Puckett; his parents, George Washington Puckett and Rosa Dalton Puckett Bradford; and a brother, Frank Alvin Puckett. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and had been the owner of Critz Grocery for the past five years.

Mr. Puckett is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorna Hylton Puckett of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Lisa Puckett of Blue Ridge, Virginia; two grandchildren, Maison and Jordan Puckett; five siblings, Dottie Hopkins of Lexington, North Carolina, Arlene Schwalbach and husband, Jim of Orlando, Florida, Rabbit Puckett and wife, Margaret of Martinsville, Crystal Harris and husband, Mavin of Woolwine, Betty Jarrell and husband, John of Orlando; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor John Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
