Mr. Gordon Joseph Axelson, II

Mr. Gordon Joseph Axelson, II, age 73 of Claudville, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Pioneer Community Hospital. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 11, 1938 to the late Gordon J. Axelson, I, and Dorothy Hild Axelson. He had attended Bethel Presbyterian Church, and had been the owner/operator of an accounting firm.
Mr. Axelson is survived by his wife, Janice Mills Axelson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Joseph Pope of Fort Drum, New York, Michelle and Gary Wilson of Clemmons, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Zachary Pope, Ashley Pope, Elizabeth Wilson and Kari Wilson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Lewis Morris of Spencer.
A memorial service for Mr. Axelson will be held Sunday, June 12th at 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Red Bank School Road in Claudville with Pastor Mark George officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home.
