Mr. Grady Carl Newman

Mr. Grady Carl Newman, age 81, of Dobson, NC, passed away at his home on Friday morning April 14, 2017. He was born in Surry Co. on August 5, 1935 to the late Robert Clarence Newman and the late Ina Smith Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Newman, DeEtte Slawter, Wilma Guyer; four brothers, Frank Newman, David Newman, Wendell Newman, Wade Newman. He was a self-employed brick mason and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving is his wife, Betty Hemric Newman, of the home; two sons, Kevin Scott Newman of Dobson, Kim Darrin Newman of Dobson; sister, Barbara Hall of Elkin; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Hilda Newman of Thurmond. A private memorial service will be held. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Newman Family.
