Mr. Grady Glasco Williams, 87 of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born in Grayson County May 23, 1928 to the late Roy M. and Carrie Carico Williams. He was the owner of Mt. Airy Awning and Glass which changed to Williams Brothers Awning and Glass as he worked along with his sons before retirement. He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret Elizabeth McDaniel Williams; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Deby Bost; Charles Williams, Chris and Ruth Williams, Donald and Linda Williams and Thomas Williams; grandchildren and spouses, Lee Bost and Jay Hallinan, Chrystal and Danny Poff, Kevin Williams, Mandy and Michael Bowers, Michael and Crystal Williams, Lesley and Jason McMillian, Ashley Bost, Matt and Rachael Williams, Andrew Bost, Josh and Erica Williams, Lauren Elizabeth Williams and Emily Nicole Williams; ten great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Rupert Melton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kermit and Wanda Williams, Dan and Alma Ruth Williams, Marvin and Jane Williams and Wade and Carol Williams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by twin great grandsons, Declan and Ian Williams and a daughter-in-law, Helen Williams. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Marvin Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Tuesday from 2:30 PM until the time of the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Challie Minton, Chrystal Poff, Judy Stevens, Jennifer Tate, Lisa Bingman, the staff of Liberty Health Care and Mountain Valley Hospice for all the kindness and care shown to Grady Williams and the entire family during his illness.
