Mr. Gregory William Goings

Mr. Gregory William Goings, age 53, of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, at his home. Mr. Goings was born in Surry County on March 8, 1964, to Roena Pack Goings and the late Gray Lowe Goings. He was a loving husband, father and brother and was retired from the Soil Conservation Dept. of USDA. Among the many who will always cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Michelle Poole Goings; sons, Jared Goings and Jordan Goings; his mother, Roena Goings; a sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Michael Thomas; a niece, Halee Coe; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 8, 2017, at Maple Grove United Methodist Church by Kevin Westmoreland. The family will receive friends in the church immediately following the service.
