Mr. Gregory Dean Prevette

Mr. Gregory Dean Prevette, age 57, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Saturday September 10, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on July 30, 1959 to the late James Wilborn and Thelma Draughn Prevette. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a disabled Housing Maintenance Supervisor. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Surviving are his Fiancée, Jody Chapman of the home; one sister Karen Prevette of Lowgap; niece Samantha Hendrix; foster niece Crystal Dunford; nephew Shawn Michael Hawks; great-niece Kristenia Hendrix. A grave side memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday September 18, 2016 in the cemetery of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony White conducting. There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson; the family will receive friends at the home of his sister 326 Beulah Church Rd. Lowgap, NC 27024. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Moody-Davis Funeral home for his final expenses or to his sister Karen Prevette Hawks.
