Mr. Harry Bunyon DeHart, age 92 of Stuart, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on January 16, 1920 to the late Parris B. "Bunny" DeHart and Dovie Walker DeHart. In addition to his parents, Mr. DeHart was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ruth Ore DeHart; four brothers, Nash, Walker, Grover and Frank DeHart; and two sisters, Ruth and Ocie Martin. He had served in the United States Army during World War II, and retired from Bassett Mirror with 50 years of service.
Mr. DeHart is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Debbie DeHart of Patrick Springs and James and Jane DeHart of Westfield, North Carolina; one daughter, Lois Ann Barbour of Stuart; five grandchildren, Stephanie Dunkley, Susan Wood, Alicia Theriault; Chris DeHart and Justin DeHart; four great-grandchildren, Savannah Lawson, Lillian Marie Wood, Gabrielle Theriault and Jaxson Theriault; and one sister, Mary Lee Martin of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. DeHart will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
