Harry Llewellyn Folger, Sr., age 76, passed away on April 6, 2016, at his home. He was born on September 25, 1939 in Surry County to the late James Folger and Margie Patterson Folger. Harry was a member of Dobson First United Methodist Church. He was a former Surry County Commissioner and a Chevrolet Car Dealership owner. Harry enjoyed traveling, fishing, telling jokes and caring for his animals. He is survived by his wife, Patty; daughters, Sharon (Clark) Freeman, Llew Ellyn (Warren) Meredith, Debby Street, Melissa (Michael) Cauthen, Crystal (Shane) Hawks; son, Harry Llewellyn (Elizabeth) Folger, Jr.; sister, Martha (Stephen) Shasteen; grandchildren; Summer Richardson, Matthew and Kendra Folger, Blake and Taylor Meredith, Ellie, Aidan and Olivia Cauthen, and Atticus Hawks; three great grand-children; and several nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at Dobson United Methodist Church with Reverend Sidney Lanier, Reverend Harry Sammons and Reverend Don Collins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dobson United Methodist Church, PO Box 497, Dobson, NC 27017.
