Mr. Harvey Allen Kidd

Mr. Harvey Allen Kidd, age 86, of Dobson, NC passed away on Monday morning April 4, 2016 at Golden Living Center, in Mt. Airy. He was born in Surry Co. on November 24, 1929 to the late Beo Sy and Mary Etta Lucy Marion Kidd. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Lee Hardy Kidd; one daughter Joan Eloise Outlaw; four brothers and two sisters. He was a farmer and attended Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law Joyce Ann Lawrence of Francisco, NC, Janet and Tony Atkins of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Linda Kidd of Ararat, NC, Jack Kidd of King, NC, Joey and Robin Kidd of Dobson; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law Ray and Nannie Lou Kidd of Dobson. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday April 7, 2016 in the cemetery of Salem Baptist Church with Dr. Darrell Tate conducting the service.
The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
