Mr. Herman Bernard Hall, Sr., age 69 of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on Friday evening September 28, 2012 in Mt. Airy. He was born on September 22, 1943 to the late Sam and Annie Lee Goins Hall. Surviving are his wife Sharla Ann Penson Hall of the home, his children Tina (Nate) Swaim of Dobson, Dorothy Ann Hall of Louisiana, Samuel G. Hall of the home, Christopher (Debbie) Hall of Mt. Airy, Russell Ray (Shelby) Hall of Spencer, Va, Herbert W. Hall of Collinsville, Va, William Dale (Angela) Hall of Martinsville, VA, Terry Lee Hall of Winston Salem, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law Cornelia (Luther) Hubbard of Meadows of Dan, Va, Jane Hooker of Germanton, NC, Virginia (Floyd) Lawless of Patrick Springs, Va.; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Herman Bernard Hall Jr.; brothers-in-law Meggs Hooker, Roy Lowe. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Sunday evening September 30, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the family. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Hall Family.
