Mr. Herman Willie Leftwich

Mr. Herman Willie Leftwich, 77 of Cana, VA passed away at his home Saturday, September 10, 2011. He was born in Surry County on July 4, 1934 to the late Rev. Willie McKinley and Princie Anna Leftwich. Mr. Leftwich worked at Pine State Knitwear and was a faithful member and deacon of Westview Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita Coe Leftwich of the home, two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Ronald Busick and Mimi Shepherd all of Cana; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Judy Leftwich of Cana; four grandchildren and spouses, Misty and Duane Hawks of Cana, Ponch and Lishia Yates of Cana, Levi Payne of Cana and Chaz Payne of Cana; eight great grandchildren, Fisher, Tyler, Eli, Westin, Layton, Easton, Mason and Kali; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Stacy and Jack Mosley of Mt. Airy and Orena Lane of Pinnacle; and a very special friend, like a brother, Lonnie Easter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Leftwich was preceded in death by a grandson, D.J. Leftwich; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday September 12, 2011 at Westview Baptist Church by Rev. Darren Slate with burial to follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
