Mr. Howard Thompson Sneed Sr

Mr. Howard Thompson Sneed, Sr. age 72, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away on Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born on March 14, 1941 to the late Andrew Jackson Sneed and the late Eliza Jane Brannock Sneed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Burch Sneed; one son Carl Wayne Sneed; two sisters Mary Marthalene Sneed, Carrie Mae Sneed Reece:; two brothers Arthur Junior Sneed and Paul Franklin Sneed. Howard was retired from Brady Furniture in Rural Hall, NC. Surviving are his three daughters and son-in-law Tina and Kenneth "Mike" Arrington of Elkin, Cynthia Vawter of Elkin, Teresa Potts of Elkin; two sons Howard T. Sneed, Jr. of Elkin, Gray Potts of Elkin; five grandchildren Jonathan Gardner, Toby Potts, Cassie Sneed, Andy Vawter, Elise Austin; four great-grandchildren Aubrey Snow, Carson Soriano, Kannon Gardner and Bella Potts; three sisters;Sarah Sneed James, Linda Sneed Sparks, Pamela Sneed Rosensteel and two brothers, James Sneed and wife Molly, and Floyd Sneed and wife, Jane. Special friends were : George and Icy Burch, and C.W. and Linda Haney. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 8:00 P.M., October 29, 2013 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M,. the time of the memorial service at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. The family requests all donation to be given to Mountain Valley Hospice
