Mr. Hoyal McKinney Jones

Mr. Hoyal McKinney Jones age 88, of Ararat, NC passed away on Sunday March 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Surry Co. on December 18, 1927 to the late Monroe France and Nancy Ada Fulk Jones. He was a retired farmer and also retired from Spencer’s Inc. in Mt. Airy. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lema Gunter Jones; and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Jones is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Denaye Jones Hodgin and Jim Hodgin of Tobaccoville, NC; grandson, Eddie Dale Hodgin; great-grandchildren, Alyxandria Hodgin and Jackson Hodgin. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date by his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane, suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or to United Baptist Church Fellowship Hall 5815 Murray Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27106. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Jones family.
