Mr. I.J. Boothe

Mr. I. J. Boothe, age 76 of Stuart passed away Monday, March 19, 2007, at his home. He was born in Patrick County on April 3, 1930 to the late Claude Edgar and Mamie Rakes Boothe. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boothe was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Puckett; and two brothers, Grady and Junior Boothe. He was a member and trustee of Smith River Church of the Brethren; and was a member of the Smith River Wildlife and Soil Conservation organization. He was retired from Liberty Fabrics.
Mr. Boothe is survived by his wife, Liddy Hylton Boothe of the home; one brother, Edgar Lee Boothe of Ferrum; and three sisters, Dena Reynolds of South Boston, Ada Wood of Ferrum and Ovilla Bowling, and her husband, Phillip, of Danville.
Funeral services for Mr. Boothe will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Dwayne Trout and Rev. Luther Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
