Mr. Ivan Leon McMillian

Mr. Ivan Leon McMillian, age 55 of Pilot Mountain passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Thursday, June 20, 2013. He was born on July 2, 1957 in Grayson County, VA to the late Claude and Martha Guynn McMillian. Mr. McMillian was employed with Wal-Mart and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Mr. McMillian is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Teresa Darlene Allen McMillian of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Sue and Daryl Barber of Greensboro; a son, Brian Leon McMillian of Roanoke; grandchildren, Nicholas Floyd McMillian, Kameryn Leon McMillian, James Newman Barber and Virginia Darlene Barber; sisters, and brothers-in-law, Catherine Easter of Mt. Airy, Sally Jordan of Troy, Beulah Annie and Troy Ayers of Cana, and Bobbie Jean and Glarry Goad of Dobson; brothers, Bert McMillian of Crew, VA and Jasper McMillian of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 680 Fish Lake Rd., Cana, VA with Rev. Roy Quesenberry and Rev. Emmett Crotts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy where the body will remain until the time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
