Mr. J. Glenn Beasley

Mr. J. Glenn Beasley, age 72 of Stuart passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on February 21, 1937 to the late Benjamin M. "Ben" and Lizzie Lawson Beasley. He was a member of Asbury Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife, Sheila Carroll Beasley of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Brad Hiatt of Ararat and Lisa and Stephen Belcher of Meadows of Dan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Glenda Beasley of Flagstaff, Arizona, Benji and Kim Beasley of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Jason Roop of Stuart; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Leon Matthews of Mount Airy and Betty and Norman Bowman of Claudville.
Funeral services for Mr. Beasley will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Terry Collins and Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of Christ Cemetery in Stuart. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
