Mr. Jack Harrison Spencer

Mr. Jack Harrison Spencer, age 88 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Stoneville, NC went home to be the Lord on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. Jack was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. He spent 35 years in Illinois where he worked for Teamsters Local #710. Jack enjoyed time as an auto mechanic as a hobby. He was a loving, caring, husband, father, and PaPa to his 8 grandchildren and one great grandson. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Walker Spencer; parents, Daniel Thomas Spencer and Ethel Hodges Spencer; five sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his children, Daniel Thomas Spencer III and wife, Suellen of Stoneville, NC, Jacqueline Quinn Chladek and husband, Thomas of Elk Mound, WI, Michael Scott Spencer and wife, Carolyn of Madison, NC, Patricia Ellen Devin and husband, Richard of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Mitchell, Amber, Erica, Amanda, Jonathon, Matthew, Jennifer, and Richard; great grandson, Eli; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Interment will be held in the Plasters Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
