Mr. Jackie Randelle “Jack” Dawson

Mr. Jackie Randelle “Jack” Dawson, 78, of Ararat, VA passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Surry health and Rehab Center in Mt, Airy. He was born in Carroll County, VA, January 10, 1939 to the late Winfred N. and Nell C. Tate Dawson. Mr. Dawson is survived by three daughters, Paula Johnson, Sabrina Lefler and Monica Dawson; son, Jackie Dawson; grandchildren, Gracie Dawson, Emiliana Padron, Hailey Costello, Mitch Dawson, Christopher Johnson, Brandy Pareja, Rachel Ibarra, Dustin Bowman, Daniel Bowman II, Jacob Bowman, Cayden Reeves, Miley Bobbitt, Jaylen Padron, Julian Martinez, Alex Dawson, Ashton Dawson, Christian Dawson and Kyler Dawson; 14 great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Faye Dawson and Elmer “Moe” and Sylvia Dawson; one uncle Everett Dawson. Special friends: Jack Arrington, Joey Haynes, Kirk Vaughan, Qunnie Driggers and Vick and kids. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by three sons, Curtis, Scott and Shane Dawson; six brothers, Maynard, Kerry, Ted, Winfred, Jr., Raymond and Richard Dawson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Willow Hill Moravian Church Cemetery with Bro. Ben Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy prior to the service on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM.
