Mr. Jacob Gertsch

Mr. Jacob Allen Gertsch, 24, of Dobson passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday August 8, 2011. He was born in Warren County, PA on August 11, 1986 to Kenneth Richard Gertsch, Jr. and to Lola Jean Irwin Magistro. Mr. Gertsch was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with his children and making every moment count. He was employed by First Choice of the Carolinas as an electrician and of the Catholic faith. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of three years, Dena Burchette Gertsch of the home; a daughter, AllyAnn Nichole Gertsch and Adam Duane Burchette Gertsch both of the home; a step-son, Nathan Lee Bond; his beloved parents, Lola and Ken Magistro of Dobson; two sisters, Alicia Atkins of Mount Airy and Danielle Magistro of Dobson; two brothers, Timothy Gertsch and fiancé Ashley Jones and Shawn Magistro all of Dobson, and a large extended family; his best friend, T.J. Swartz. His paternal grandfather, Lloyd Irwin and a cousin John Hayes preceded him in death. A celebration of his life will be held at 7 pm Friday, August 12, 2011 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 pm until the hour of the service.
