Mr. James Dean Browder

Mr. James Dean Browder, age 64 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his home. He was born in Surry County, May 20, 1947 to Jessie Haymore and Eunice Faye Spainhour Browder. Mr. Browder was well known in the community and several states for spreading God's word through his music. He blessed so many with his words of faith and encouragement. Mr. Browder will not only be dearly missed by his loving family and friends, but also by his many brothers and sisters he met during his singing career. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lisa Browder and Terry and Tracey Browder; a daughter, Joyce Wallace; a step son, Michael MaHone and wife Wendy; a very special, loving friend and companion, Ruth Huff; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Dot Browder and Bill and Jeanette Browder and a sister, Corrine McCraw. In addition to his parents, Mr. Browder was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Browder. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Blackwater Community Church by Rev. Ted Crotts and Bro. Ray Hutson. Mr. Browder will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses or to Blackwater Community Church at 525 Crotts Rd., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
