Mr. James Nash DeHart, age 69 of Stuart, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on August 1, 1943, and was preceded in death by his father, James Edward DeHart; a daughter, Lorrie Ann Pack; and a grandson, Little Baby Bobby Wayne Lawson. He was a member of Skyline Pentecostal Holiness Church, had retired from J.P. Stevens with 20 years of service, and was a caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Mr. DeHart is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna Doshie Fuqua DeHart of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Valerie Lawson of Patrick Springs and Amy and Larry Wilson of Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Dana DeHart of Stuart; four grandchildren, Melissa Sessor of Woolwine, Kelley Risaliti of Stuart, Vanessa Holt of Dry Pond and Jamie McAdams of Stuart; five great-grandchildren, Lillie Ann Risaliti of Stuart, Taylor Holt, Mason Holt and Trinity Holt, all of Dry Pond, and Isaiah Foley of Stuart; his mother, Dorothy Harbour DeHart of Woolwine; and one sister, Lillie Hylton of Woolwine.
Funeral services for Mr. DeHart will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor David Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home.
