Mr. James Brent Draughn

Mr. James Brent Draughn, age 49, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Surry County on January 1, 1967 to the late David Lee Draughn and the late Viola Hardy Draughn. He was employed by Hexagon of Huntersville, NC. Surviving are his wife Theresa Kelly Draughn of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Kristin and Joey Secrest of Dobson, Brittany Draughn of Asheville, Sylvia and Joel Mitchell of the home, and Candy Draughn of the home; four grandchildren Tyson Secrest, Stella Secrest, Oliver Mitchell, Dwayne Mitchell; brother Keith Draughn of Westfield; nephew Jacob Draughn; step-mother Linda Draughn of Mt. Airy; step-sisters Carol Casstevens of Mt. Airy, Tracy Cox of Virginia; step-brother Craig Cox of Mt. Airy; father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Dora Kelly of Dobson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 19, 2016 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Graham Mitchell will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of his service at 2:00 PM.
