Mr. James C. "J.C." Dunkley

Mr. James Cecil "J.C." Dunkley, age 68 of Martinsville passed away Saturday morning at his home. He was born on Jan. 20, 1941 in Patrick County to the late Booker and Siller Collins Dunkley. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Stella Woods; and three brothers, Alvis, Eugene, and Harry Dunkley. Mr. Dunkley served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, was retired from Hooker Furniture, and attended Stella Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Evelyn Easter Dunkley of the home; two sons and a daughter in law, James Chad Dunkley of Waltham, Minnesota, Michael Scott Dunkley and wife, Jessica of Martinsville; one granddaughter, Jessica Liana Dunkley; and two sisters, Edith Stowe of Stuart, and Nancy Foley of Fieldale.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Rev. Bob Swader officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
