Mr. James Kenneth Hamlin

Mr. James Kenneth Hamlin, age 52, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 4, 2016. Ken was born in Surry County, North Carolina on January 14, 1964. He is survived by his parents, Cleve and Sandra Hamlin of Mt. Airy; two children, a son, Kyle Nicholas Hamlin of Mobile, Alabama and a daughter, Chloe Marie Hamlin of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by one brother, Dr. Craig Hamlin and his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Moriah of Newnan, Georgia. Ken was a graduate of North Surry High School and attended Surry Community College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His primary profession was in the field of computer technologies. He was an avid traveler and loved sports of all kinds, especially, as a Duke Basketball fan. However, one of his greatest joys was time with his children. Ken also served in various positions in numerous churches over the years. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 7th, from 5:30-7:00pm at Salem Baptist Church, Dobson, North Carolina.
