Mr. James Davey Hicks

Mr. James Davey Hicks, age 63, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Hicks was born in Surry County on October 17, 1952, to Thomas “Josh” and Mary Forrest Hicks. He was retired from R. J. Reynolds. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Samantha “Sami” Cox Hicks; daughters, Melissa Hicks and Kenny Stone and Monica Hicks Fulk and husband B. J.; grandchildren, Mason Stone, Gray Stone, Weston Fulk and Hendrix Fulk and a brother-in-law, Larry Sumner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by a grandson, Brody James Fulk and his sister, Belinda Hicks Sumner. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rusty Cox speaking. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home two hours prior to the service.
