Mr. James Charles Kaelin

Mr. James Charles Kaelin, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Queens, NY on March 23, 1936 to the late Frank and Margaret Kaelin. Mr. Kaelin retired as CEO of Kaelin Incorporated and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He served our country in the United States Air Force and Marines. He is survived by his wife Rosemary Irish Kaelin ; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Marsh , Doctors Kathleen and Dr. Robert Wooten, Rosemary and Steven Pepitone, Heidi and Jon Anderson ; sons and daughters-in-law, James Charles Kaelin, Jr. and wife Stacey, Kevin Raymond Kaelin, Michael and Sylvia Kaelin; nine grandchildren; sisters, Rita Grella, and Kathy Cruset; brothers, Frank, Daniel, Michael, John, Raymond, and Larry Kaelin; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kaelin was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Kaelin. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Larry Heiney officiating.
