Mr. James Neal Marshall

Mr. James Neal Marshall, (Jimmy) age 78, of Pinnacle, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Marshall was born in Stokes County on December 18, 1938, to Jerry Cornelius and Bessie Joyce Marshall. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Mr. Marshall was also a retired farmer and construction worker, and was a member of Rock House Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving is his devoted wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann Duncan Marshall of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Dale Sisk; Joyce and Dirk Cheek; a son, James Randy Marshall and fiancé Cathy Williams, ten grandchildren; Clay Marshall, Ben Marshall, Kirby Marshall, William Marshall, Drew (Kathleen) Sewell, Laken (Will) Dagenhart, Kyler Cheek, Ashton Cheek, Amy Sisk, Matthew (Katie) Sisk; great grandchildren; Chloe Marshall, James Wayne Marshall, Josie Cheek, Sofie Sisk, a son in-law; Bruce Barker a sister; Ethel Crews, a brother and sister in law Glen and Faye Marshall, three sisters in-law, Audrey Marshall, Dale Marshall, Marie Marshall as well as many nieces and nephews, and a special former daughter in-law Carrie Marshall. In addition to his parents Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Barker, four sisters; Myrtice Bowman, Kathleen Sowden, Ruth King, Rachael Collins, four brothers; William, Junior, Gray and JC Marshall. Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Rock House Primitive Baptist Church with services conducted by Elder Rodney Marshall and Elder Scotty Marshall with burial to follow at State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at Rock House Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive family and friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
